DC & Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines Embark On an Impactful Collaboration
DC joins forces with the Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA|TLC) to transform lives for those who are blind or visually impaired, along with veterans with PTSD or TBI, children with autism, and facility dogs for public institutions, through expertly trained service dogs.
Meet the DC Litter
Krypto: Krypto the Superdog is where good dogs and great superheroes intersect.
Clark Kent: Clark is the mild-mannered secret identity of Superman, an alien from the planet Krypton. He’s known for his strong morals, kind heart, and dedication to using his superhuman abilities for good.
Lois Lane: Lois Lane is a tenacious journalist, known for her sharp intellect, strong will, and relentless pursuit of truth, often putting herself in danger to get a story.
Kara Zor-El: Also known as Supergirl, Kara possesses all of Superman’s powers—from superhuman strength, speed, and invulnerability all the way down to his flight and enhanced senses—but is still learning to control these awesome abilities.
Lobo: This intergalactic alien badass is known as the best bounty hunter in the universe. He has fought on the side of both the good guys and the bad, pretty much just drifting toward whoever pays him the most to get the job done.
Follow their Journey!
After graduating from puppy prekindergarten training today, these future service‑dog heroes will embark on an inspiring journey to become trusted canine partners who bring confidence, mobility, and independence to people in need, moving from the GDA|TLC campus into the homes of skilled volunteer puppy-raisers who continue to transform these labradors into loyal companions with their own versions of superpowers.
DC fans can follow the DC pups at DC.com/pups as their training unfolds throughout the year, as the collaboration with Guide Dogs of America will deliver a series of co-branded events, media moments, and storytelling activations, celebrating impact, community, and heroism.Â
Fans will also be able to join the fun and follow along through social activations throughout the year and even meet the puppies in person at San Diego Comic-Con in July.
